Teachers tend to avoid having outdoor lessons out of fear that it will get the children too riled up and unable to focus. As it turns out, quite the opposite is true. In a recent study, researchers found that teaching kids outside improves their ability to focus and engage with school work. In fact, teachers were able to hold kids’ attention for nearly twice as long during a subsequent indoor lesson.
