Today’s Solutions: December 17, 2025

Starting today in many communities, school is back in session!  For many around the world though, the simplest things, like pencils, notepads, books, and erasers are beyond reach.  This nonprofit is doing something that makes perfect sense: donating used school supplies to teachers in need. While the supplies may be used, more often than not they are in near-perfect condition.

Used Tools 4 Kids, an official nonprofit organization, has been sending loads of high-quality school supplies to teachers in Guyana. They have sent supplies to 25 teachers in various schools, and their last shipment reached 6,000 pounds.

Not only is this an eco-friendly, waste-reducing novelty, but it also provides students the opportunity for quality education. It helps teachers with very limited salaries give children the chance for an education that they deserve. The organization has big plans to extend donations to additional countries in the coming years.
