Today’s Solutions: March 29, 2026

More and more new professionals are opting for a much more mobile lifestyle than their parents before them. The housing market is transforming to meet the needs of the new generation defying the traditional model of moving to an area, finding a job, and settling down for the long haul.

Alex Chatzielefteriou recognized the flexible housing needs of young workers and started Blueground, a company that rents out fully furnished modern living spaces on a month to month basis. Much like their contemporary Airbnb, Blueground has properties all over the world, including six U.S. cities, Dubai, Istanbul, London, Paris, and Athens.

With more than 3,000 listings, the company redefines the concept of home by offering reliable and comfortable high quality living spaces for a variety of professionals from athletes to journalists. Users can browse listings online by city, size, and style. The properties are more long term than Airbnb and cheaper than hotels, capturing the niche market of modern workers.

If you’re a worker on the move who feels trapped by year-long housing contracts, this is good news for you! The company hopes to have 50,000 properties in 50 cities over the next three years.
