Today’s Solutions: February 24, 2026

Study after study has gone on to show that climate change will have cataclysmic effects on the world if we don’t change our ways fast. This outlook seems pretty grim, but it may not seem all bad news. In a provocative new analysis, researchers contend that the current goal of reducing coal, oil and gas consumption may actually be closer than we think to reducing the effects of climate change, thus allowing us to set the bar even higher in our efforts to reduce pollution. Although this by no means shows that we’re in the clear, it does provide a better outlook than the common doomsday scenario.
