Zumum, the electric plane startup backed by companies like JetBlue and Boeing, has just announced it has made a deal with JetSuite to sell 100 electric planes with deliveries expected to commence in 2022. That means that for the first time, electric planes will become a part of commercial travel. The planes, which are smaller and cheaper to operate than most commercial aircraft, will initially be used to improve regional travel within the US.
