The coast off of California is not open for drilling. That’s the conclusion to be taken from a pair of bills signed by California Gov. Jerry Brown which effectively prevent new drilling projects off the state’s coast. Despite the Trump administration making it clear that it wants to increase offshore drilling projects, state lawmakers in California, including those from the president’s party, remained staunchly opposed to the proposition.
