While Nespresso coffee machines are incredibly convenient, they’re also incredibly wasteful as most of the used coffee capsules end up in the landfill. In response to mounting pressure, Nespresso, which holds a third of the coffee pod market, has committed to 100 percent sustainable aluminum for its capsules by 2020. Nespresso claims these pods will not only be easily recyclable but that the aluminum they’re made of will be mined in a sustainable manner.
