Today’s Solutions: December 16, 2025

As the world prepares to hop onto the clean energy wagon, the renewables job market is set for a boom in the coming future. Just in 2018, 11 million people around the world were employed by the renewable energy sector – an increase of 700,000 jobs from 2017, growing nearly seven percent in just one year.

The greatest growth came from countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, spreading the renewable sector beyond the primary markets in China, Brazil, the U.S., India and the EU while maintaining Asia’s 60 percent stake in renewable employment globally.

From solar-panel cleaners to housing-insulation specialists and wind-turbine climbers, the world’s steady move towards a low-carbon future powered by renewable energy is shaping new businesses and the jobs market. This growing trend in clean energy jobs should inspire confidence in renewables by countries all over the world as technologies improve and costs go down.
