Today’s Solutions: September 15, 2026

Tuesday’s supermoon was the biggest and brightest of the year. At 221,856 miles from Earth, it was the closest the moon will orbit to our planet this year. The lunar event was named the “pink supermoon,” not for its color, but because it coincides with wildflower blooms in the Northern United States and Canada.

If you saw the moon in person, it was a golden, silver, or yellow color. If you didn’t catch it in person (or even if you did) checkout its unique beauty in this amazing series of photographs from around the world which documented the phenomenon.

Check out the full series here to see the moon’s beauty from destinations such as Germany, New York, Ireland, and Turkey.
