Today’s Solutions: September 21, 2026

Georgia’s primary elections made headlines last week for all the wrong reasons. However, despite long lines, lack of ballots, and voting machine malfunctions, three times as many votes were cast compared to the 2016 presidential primary.

As of last Friday, 91 percent of votes were in for a total of 960,000 ballots compared to 310,000 four years ago.

Officials are launching an investigation into the numerous voting issues that plagued the state on election day with blame placed on untrained local officials, new voting machines, and poor communication between districts.

The massive rate of voter turnout shows that even amidst obstacles, people are eager to have their civic voices heard. Voter booth access issues urgently need to be fixed, but even in the face of challenges, people are ready and passionate about using their vote for influential change.
