Today’s Solutions: March 25, 2026

Visiting Earth’s most stunning natural landscapes can leave you with a sense of wonder. The same is true for when you sit beneath the bright stars of the Milky Way. But when you combine the two together, it makes for an indescribable feeling, one that is bigger than ourselves and reminds us just how small we are in this fascinating world.

For perspective, if the Milky Way was a city, then Earth would be located in the outer suburbs. From here we’re perfectly situated to peer back towards the bustling city center and capture the sparkling lights. Recently, photography blog Capture the Atlas held its annual competition to honor photographers who framed the Milky Way within brilliant landscapes.

Want to see a wonderful gallery of stunning photos that show our home galaxy and planet, side by side? Look no further.
