“To find optimism, look for the good things in life.” – Catherine Pulsifer

This week, our hard-working editorial team is taking a break from our Optimist View article. While we do not have any new content for you to read today, we have included some of our best Optimist View articles from 2020 for you to go back to and reflect on.

Our first Optimist View comes from March of this year, just after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States. We wrote about what we call Positive Emotional Contagion and the power that positivity and solutions have in hard times.

Our second View was published in May and includes a reprint of an essay from Gary Burnison, an industry thought leader and CEO of global organization and consulting firm, Korn Ferry; he reminds us that it is imperative that we do not cancel celebrating although we have been forced to cancel celebrations.

And finally, take a look at an article written by our very own Editorial Manager, who details his account of getting stuck in Costa Rica at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. He writes, “If Macondo provides any clue, it is that when these days of quarantine are over, the world we will return to is bound to look very different from its former self.”
