Today’s Solutions: December 18, 2025

As an increasing number of car manufacturers are starting to pivot away from internal combustion engines, UK automaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has recently jumped on the bandwagon by announcing its Jaguar luxury brand will be all-electric by 2025. Meanwhile, the brand’s Land Rover stablemate will release six EVs over the next four years.

The move is a key part of the automaker’s “Reimagine” global strategy which seeks to rethink modern luxury in a sustainable and socially responsible way. The electrification effort also goes hand in hand with the UK’s recent announcement that it will ban the sale of diesel-powered vehicles by the end of the decade.

As part of the plan, JLR will spend around $3.5 billion on electrification and new technologies. According to BBC, the brand will also invest in hydrogen fuel cell technology which provides electric power, without leaving greenhouse gas emissions behind.

If all goes to plan, JLR expects its entire Jaguar fleet and 60 percent of Land Rovers sold to be zero-emissions vehicles by 2030. It plans to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2039.
