Today’s Solutions: June 22, 2026

Going to a public bathroom probably doesn’t rank highly as one of your favorite activities. That said, knowing which facilities you can comfortably do your business in is a luxury that most of us take for granted.

As we cultivate more awareness and empathy for LGBTQ+ communities, we have come to an understanding that having restrooms that are gender-neutral can alleviate at least a bit of the exclusion that some members of these communities endure.

Google already notes whether a business identifies itself as a transgender safe space, but has launched an additional feature in Maps and Search just in time for Pride Month. The new feature helps transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming people find businesses and establishments that have gender-neutral restrooms. This information is found under the amenities section of the about tab of the given location.
