Haiti experienced a 7.2 magnitude earthquake on Sunday resulting in the death of more than 1200 people and broad infrastructure damage. Multiple nonprofits have mobilized to provide aid, so we gathered a list of a few reputable organizations you can donate to in order to support relief efforts.

United Way of Miami-Dade

This nonprofit has launched its Operation Helping Hands to support earthquake victims. They are working directly with Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center on the ground to provide relief items and services. You can donate to United Way through their donation page or by calling 800-226-3320.

Haitian Health Foundation 

This health-focused nonprofit is providing medical care and transport, emergency shelter, and emergency supplies, as well as coordinating with local NGOs to ensure residents’ most urgent needs are being met. You can make a donation on their website.

Project Hope

This organization has deployed an emergency response team to Haiti to provide hygiene kits, PPE, and water purification supplies. Your donation will help fund medicine, supplies, and volunteer training. Donations can be made on their website. 

Hope for Haiti

This Florida-based nonprofit has 62 Haitian employees on the ground helping deliver emergency kits and connect those in need with healthcare services. You can make a donation on their website.

Greater Miami Jewish Federation

This organization has set up a relief fund for Haiti with 100 percent of collected money going towards aid and critical support for those affected. You can make a donation on their website.

Direct Relief

This well-established relief organization is using donations to fund medical aid and meet the needs of medical facilities across the island. You can donate on their Haiti quake relief page.
