Experts have long said that once the electric car is affordable for the masses, then it’s game over for gas-powered cars. We’re getting awfully close to that becoming a reality as General Motors gets set to launch the Chevrolet Bolt EV, a subcompact car with an average range of 238 miles on a full charge. The starting price of the vehicle is half the price of the Tesla Model 3, and can go 20 miles more per charge on average than the Model 3. With the Bolt priced near the average new vehicle in the U.S, expectations are that many Americans will make the switch to electric.
