It’s a fact that many successful entrepreneurs are college-dropouts. Self-made business leaders are not burdened by the often rigid requirements of conventional education, it seems. This son of a farmer in India did make it to college, though. That’s where he used a computer for the first time. However, Ravi Suhag’s college was nowhere near the traditional elite technology colleges he was dreaming of as a young boy. He acquired his computer skills himself. Today, he leads the hackathon scene in India—his winning rate is 88 percent. A hackathon is a contest where programmers from different fields get together to solve a coding challenge over a short period.
