Today’s Solutions: February 04, 2026

Think about this: we don’t know how to do peace on our planet very well. That’s why I like the words of the Dalai Lama, “When you realize that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy.”

It’s important to understand that we need to learn how to do peace, and to begin that process, we need to acknowledge that we don’t know how to do it now. Ignorance is not always bliss.

So what have you done at other times in your life when you wanted to learn something you didn’t know?

I don’t know about you, but what I do is research it. The Internet is full of peace info these days. There are lots of books on peace on Amazon. Interestingly, most research is about its subject, not the subject itself, isn’t it?

The Dalai Lama hasn’t said “…learn about both peace and joy.” Nope, the quote is “learn both peace and joy.” And that’s what brought me joy when I saw it!

To truly “learn peace” is to know peace. Like learning Chinese is to know the language of Chinese. So I’m going to make some suggestions for after the research phase …

Snuggle peace.
Sit with peace.
Enjoy peace.
Offer peace.
Multiply peace.
Whisper peace.

You get the idea.

Beloved, we all learn peace by doing peace, day in, day out, day after day, moment by moment sometimes, ad infinitum.

Learn peace, my friend. You’ll be glad you did.
