But they are still very much in use, because companies—like Monsanto—make billions selling them. Unhealthy business. However we don’t need chemicals to protect—and pollute—our crops. In 2006, Paul Stamets, the world’s leading mycologist—“mushroom-man”—was granted a patent that can disrupt the entire chemical pesticides industry.
