In the study male participants switched off between eating 25 percent of their regular caloric intake then 175 percent of their regular caloric intake, which was about 650 calories and 4,550 calories. While no one wants to go through life starving every other day, skipping a meal sometimes, or regularly, can actually have some health benefits.
