Dubai has launched a $13.6 billion strategy to produce 75 percent of its energy from renewable sources by 2050. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday unveiled the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, as part of efforts to develop the ‘green economy’ and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
