Israeli startup Electroad is working to pave the way towards a greener world with technology that retrofits existing roads with buried coils that inductively charge electric vehicles wirelessly. The startup has already demonstrated its electrifying roads successfully, and is now demoing the roads on a larger scale with a public bus route in Tel Aviv.  The startup also says installing such roads can be done quickly, at a rate of one kilometer per half day. With its potential to promote electric car growth, electric roads could play a major role in reducing transportation emissions by creating a cleaner way to travel.
