Italians are in way better shape than Americans, Canadians, and Brits, who all suffer from higher blood pressure and cholesterol and poorer mental health. In fact, a newborn in Italy can expect to live well into their 80s. A big reason why Italians are so healthy—as part of their overall way of life—is their diet, which is rich in vegetables and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Italy is a living embodiment of how important it is for consumers to have access to fresh produce, fruit, lean meats and fish, all of which Italians love to indulge in.
