California is going to give gas-powered cars the boot under a new bill that was introduced on Wednesday. In line with California’s climate change policies, the bill will require every new passenger vehicle sold after Jan.1, 2040, to be zero-emission. California has nearly 300,000 electric vehicles registered, but there’s still a long way to go before all cars sold are emission-free.
