Scotland’s wind generation increased by 34 percent and hydropower by 9 percent in the last year alone, propelling Scotland near the top of the list of countries that derive the highest percentage of energy from renewable sources. According to the latest statistics, the highland nation meets more than two-thirds of their energy needs without burning fossil fuels.
