Today’s Solutions: June 11, 2026

It seems whenever the word ‘forest’ is in the headlines of a news story, the story has only to do with deforestation and habitat loss. But that’s not the case with this story. This time around, we’re here to tell you that NASA’s latest study found that the Earth has actually become a greener place than it was 20 years ago. Contrary to the general perception worldwide, China and India’s ambitious tree planting programs and intensive agriculture has led to a global net increase in leaf area. This isn’t to say that deforestation is no longer a problem, but does give a different perspective to the typical doom and gloom we hear when it comes to the environment.
