These design activities aim to enthuse home-bound kids about architecture

As the lockdown is finding many kids stuck at home, a British architecture firm has decided to bring the outside world to them.

Foster + Partners has recently launched an initiative called #architecturefromhome, a series of free downloadable activities that hope to share the whimsy and wonder of the built environment with screen-bound kids.

The project aims to get children to ask questions about their surroundings and generally stir their curiosity about architecture. The tasks released by the studio are designed to encourage children to make, play, draw, and think about architecture.

Among the main activities is a series of architecture challenges, including building a paper skyscraper and creating a city, as well as learning how to draw trees and create a photo story. So far, the studio has created ten activities but will add more if the lockdown continues.
