Australia’s first electric aircraft has successfully begun test flights. The two-seater single-engine plane has two batteries that can keep the plane in the air for an hour, with an extra 30 minutes in reserve. While there’s still much to improve before we see full-size commercial airplanes running on electricity, this is certainly a step in the right direction.
