According to statistics, only about 10 percent of people past the age of 65 work out regularly. That’s a missed opportunity as research has shown that older people who exercise have reflexes, memories, balance and metabolic profiles that more closely resembled those of 30-year-olds than of older people who don’t exercise. A new study looked at muscle health and immune response of seniors who exercise. Researchers conclude that active older people are not like their non-active peers. They are healthier. They are, biologically, younger.
