Today’s Solutions: February 23, 2026

Next year, it will be 500 years since Leonardo da Vinci passed away. Yet, his amazing life still inspires millions of people every day. One explanation for his fame is the very wide scope of his interests which included painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography. This “to-do list” from the 1490s presents a perfect illustration. Some of the items might not immediately speak to the reader, but we should remember that Da Vinci never wrote this list for a reader of The Optimist Daily in 2018.
