The world’s leaders in the clean energy transition are developing nations. India ranks second in the top after Chile, climbing three spots from the fifth position it held last year. This is due to an increase in clean energy installations and rising investments in solar power projects. On top of that, the country has the ambitious aim to generate 175GW of carbon-free energy by 2022 – that’s more than 50% of its entire power sector.
