The ring-shaped LHC is comprised of a series of icy-cold superconducting magnets that accelerate particles destined to smash into each other, which allows physicists to test out various theories concerning the structure of the world and the laws of physics. The LHC is one of the greatest technological feats of mankind, and now you can take a walk through it. Well, not in person, but virtually. As a part of Google’s Arts & Culture platform, the tech giant has developed a Street View-powered tour of the LHC that you can take from the comfort of your home.
