Today’s Solutions: December 17, 2025

Go to almost any professional basketball game in America, and you’ll see young female cheerleaders in revealing outfits dancing on the court during breaks in the action. But go to Washington Wizards game, and you’ll be in for a real surprise. Instead of scantily clad cheerleaders, the fans are treated to a dance squad made up of people between the ages of 50 to 76 years who storm onto the court in red, white, and blue sparkly outfits. The 19 women and one man who make up the “Wizdom” dance team include former NFL cheerleaders, a dentist, several grandmothers, a breast cancer survivor, and a woman recovering from brain surgery. Some who made the team tried out because they had performed as professional dancers or cheerleaders years ago, and wanted to do so again. Some were looking for a way to get more exercise or were talked into it by their grandchildren. All of them, however, know how to put on a show that will definitely put a smile on your face. If you want to see the Wizdom in action, have a look here.
