EMISSARY THOUGHTS

  • What Inspires Your Optimism? Humorous stories about sad events — (humor is close to tragedy); observing someone being kind to another person.  Being generous myself!
  • Favorite Optimist Daily Solutions? So many.  One thing is to stop using plastic.  Not drinking from plastic water bottles is a good place to start!
  • Favorite Optimistic Quote/ Book/ Film: The book, “Educated” by Tara Westover shows how a person can survive under terrible childhood circumstances and go on to learn to think differently about herself and the world rather than holding onto her parents’ paranoid views.  A good film along these lines is the “Intouchables”.  I also recommend the BBC film series “Our Planet” that shows the dangers we face today environmentally.  We also need more solutions in order to avert a full catastrophe.
