Today’s Solutions: March 25, 2026

Have you ever dreamed of escaping to an island and throwing yourself into a creative project, uninterrupted and undisturbed by the outside world? Well, your dream could very well come true, thanks to a Swedish man named Fredrik Haren.

Haren is the owner of Ideas Island, a 7,000 square meter island near Stockholm, Sweden. The island hosts a 65 square meter house, with all the amenities one could ever need, including a beach, a dock, and plenty of outdoor room to roam around. The coolest thing about the island though is that people can apply for one-week stays to work on their creative projects—free of charge.

Accessible by rowboat, the quaint island is open to guests each summer. Winning applicants can even bring friends, as the island houses up to 6 people at a time. Though the stay is free, guests are encouraged to give a donation to a charity of the non-profit’s choosing.
