You would only need to be subscribed to the Optimist Daily for a little while to know we are geeks for outer space. That’s why we were over the moon when NASA released a gallery of jaw-dropping imagery of the universe captured by telescopes from around the world.

The gallery is a “treasure trove of cosmic delights” featuring X-ray images of the universe to display it in a way you’ve never seen before. The universe, when seen through infrared, radio waves, and gamma rays, becomes an incredible sight full of colors, spirals, and starbursts. Quite frankly, these x-ray images make the universe look like an 80s nightclub.

From the Messier 82 galaxy to Helix Nebula, here are some amazing x-ray images of the universe to get lost in.
