Today’s Solutions: May 15, 2026

Writing with a pen and paper has almost become a thing of the past. But before you throw all your pens in the trash you might want to keep a few to use when taking notes. Writing with pen and paper is more conducive to learning. When you write with a pen and paper you put your notes in your own words, making your brain think about what you’re writing. If you write on a computer you are more likely to regurgitate notes onto your screen, which doesn’t help you learn. Writing with a pen also beneficially slows you down. Instead of typing what you hear faster than your brain can process, writing with pen and paper slows down your not taking and makes your brain think about the material you’re taking notes on.
