Through a series of 40-minute test flights in a drone, researchers demonstrated that fragile blood samples remained safe—despite bumpy, unpredictable takeoffs and landings. This is good news for people living in places that are hard to reach, especially in the developing world. Transporting medical samples via drones is safer and cheaper compared to doing it by car or motorcycle.
