As more and more customers demand that animals be treated humanely, a remarkable number of big corporations are changing their habits for the better. One of those companies is McDonald’s. The fast-food giant switched to 100 percent sustainable fish in 2013, and is now sourcing their beef as sustainable as well. Unilever is also leading the way in its sector with its new Sustainable Living Plan, which commits the company to purchasing all of its animal-derived ingredients from sustainable sources by 2020. Here are the top eight companies when it comes to respecting the animals in their supply chains.
