There is an unhealthy overlap between leaders in business and politics, and narcissists. Therefore, we may want to be careful with accepting leadership tips from CEO’s and entrepreneurs. But this one is so original and different, that it at least deserves a mention. We are familiar with the importance of the intelligence quotient (IQ) for leadership. Some twenty years ago Daniel Goleman added “emotional intelligence” (EQ)—and we get that too. Chinese Internet giant Alibaba’s founder Jack Ma now adds LQ for the quotient of love that “machines never have”. “Ma speaks about the need to pursue a globalization that is humane. “A machine does not have a heart… Human beings have the souls… we are showing that we can control the machines.”  Yes, agreed.
