Living organisms constantly interact with the collective blueprint of their species’ health.

The German doctor Frits-Albert Popp was the first to build an instrument capable of measuring photons (light carriers) and could even count them one at a time. He believes that health is nothing more than well-ordered light and that every living organism continually communicates with the Zero Point Field to tune in to the collective blueprint of health of the specific species. Popp discovered that in the case of sick people, not only is the inner communication disrupted, but so too is communication with the Zero Point Field. Sick people appeared to be emitting too much light. Their light literally went out or was drawn out of them.
Various studies of heart patients also indicate that the feeling of being separated – from yourself, the community and your spirituality – are the greatest source of illness, even more so than physical conditions such as high cholesterol. Research into people who live long lives demonstrates that they tend not only to believe in a higher spiritual power, but also feel they are the strongest part of the community.
If tuning into the ‘healthy’ holographic information in the Zero Point Field truly creates health, is it possible to heal yourself and others from serious illness? In the 1960s, biologist Bernard Grad of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, experimented with this concept. He started with plants. His research showed that water that was ‘radiated’ by healers had a positive effect on the growth of seeds. Grad was able to show that the molecular structure of radiated water truly changed, comparable with the effect of magnets. However, seeds that were watered with water radiated by depressed people failed to thrive.
Another famous experiment conducted in 1988 by Doctor Randolph Byrd, whereby prayers were said for half of a group of 400 heart patients on his ward, showed that directed consciousness has an effect on health. At the end of the experiment, those for whom prayers were said were in significantly better shape. They contracted pneumonia less often and needed less medication and oxygen.
Elisabeth Targ was not convinced. An orthodox psychiatrist, she shot a number of holes in Byrd’s experiment. For instance, Byrd had not taken into account the mental state of both groups. She decided to set up a programme that would rule out the effects of other factors. She spent months designing a protocol. Finally, she measured the effect of 40 different healers on Aids patients. The results were unequivocal. The long-distance healers contributed enormously to the physical and mental health of the patients.
Targ discovered that it didn’t matter which method the healers used as long as the intention was to heal the patients. Whether it was Jesus, Spiderman or grandmother that was summoned for help, the outcome was the same. What all the healers did have in common was their ability to ‘not get in the way’. They surrendered themselves to the healing power as if they were opening a door and letting in something greater than themselves.
Researcher Elmer Green from Kansas demonstrated that something truly does happen with the healers. It appears that during their sessions, they are surrounded by an abnormally high electric field.
