Researchers found that workers who were exposed to greater amounts of natural light slept better and longer, were more physically active, and had an overall better quality of life than those who stayed in the shadows all day. Those sitting by a window typically get 173 percent more light and slept an average of 46 minutes longer per night than people who do not work by a window. So pull you chair up to the nearest window for the rest of the day, or better yet—go outside!
