A California couple started a health revolution by replacing traditional classroom furniture with standing desks in their own children’s school. Studies show that standing children burn up to 30% calories, display better focus and enjoy higher physical fitness. If their new nonprofit succeeds, standing desks could soon become the norm in public schools around the country.
