Acupuncture also prevents postoperative intra-abdominal adhesions. Inflammation as a result of stress, bad diets, and environmental pollution is the main threat to human health. All degenerative diseases, like cancer, dementia and heart disease, begin with inflammation. The new study confirms earlier findings and shows that regular acupuncture treatments could play a major role in the prevention of disease.
