It’s the long been known as the best way to engrain information into your brain, but there is mounting scientific evidence that suggest that what we do physically also plays an important role in this process. Besides sleep, research shows exercise increases the production of biochemicals in the body and brain related to mental function. Scientists also found that the brain will process information best if exercise is performed four hours after a study session, rather than immediately after. As to why is still unknown, but if you need to boost your memory, make sure to pencil in some time for exercising.
