Meditation and yoga are becoming a common practice among the U.S workforce. In a study of more than 85,000 adults, researchers found that 1 in 7 workers practice mindfulness. The study also showed that the practice of yoga nearly doubled from 2002 to 2012, rising to 11% of workers. Considering that these two activities have been shown to improve employee well-being and productivity, this is good news. The study suggests that if more employers incorporated mindfulness practices into the workplace experience, it could do wonders for both business and employee satisfaction.
