With such a battery, you could become independent of the grid and power your entire home with renewable energy using the same battery for a decade. Unlike other flow batteries, this giant, low-maintenance battery has a new chemical composition that allows it to store and release electricity without huge amounts of battery degradation. What’s more, the battery can be made using inexpensive, non-toxic materials.
