While the sharing economy promises much flexibility to workers in the future, it also comes with disadvantages. One such disadvantage, researchers say, is that it could make it even more challenging for people to make enough money to pay the bills. To help the sharing economy work better for people, these projects are introducing principles of a coop, and shared ownership as well as ideas from open participatory networks.
