While meat is considered to be the main food-related contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, there are plenty of highly processed foods that also add to emissions. Worst of all, these processed foods such as salty snacks and sweets add to the burden of greenhouses gases without doing anything for our health—unless you count their contribution to chronic disease. If you want to fight climate change while benefitting your body, it’s time to reconsider what you eat.
