A non-profit company has restored an Australian derelict heritage train to be used for public transport. What makes this extra special is that the train operates entirely on solar energy. The train features custom-designed curved solar panels on the roof of the train and utilizes a regenerative braking system which recovers around 25 percent of the energy used each time the brakes are applied.
